When Debby Canton of Washington began caring for a motherless baby squirrel (she named him Finnegan) with the intent to release him to the wild, Canton’s pregnant Papillion, Madame Giselle, took an avid interest in Finnegan’s well-being. Finnegan had been residing in a cage nearby the dog’s bed. Just days before Madame Giselle was due to give birth, Canton watched as Madame Giselle dragged Finnegan’s cage to her own bedside – twice. The canine mother-to-be had taken a liking to Finnegan so Canton hesitantly let the two mingle outside of the cage. Check out what happened! Finnegan found a home with Madame Gizelle. |

| Finnegan and his litter mates, five Pappillion puppies, get along together as if they were meant to. |
