  Award winning photography

Angie Morlan, The New Falcon Herald’s writer and photographer extraordinaire, won first place in the reserve grand champion category at the El Paso County Fair with her black and white photo of melted fence posts on a piece of burned property in Black Forest, following the fire.

Angie also won third place for the adobe structure against the mountainous background – shot at the Manitou Springs cliff dwellings.

Christopher Morlan, son of Angie and Tom Morlan, is following in mom’s footsteps as a photographer with this great photo of a giraffe. Christopher won third place at the fair for this photo.
